Weather in Pechera
Weather forecast for the village of Pechera on the Southern Bug
Seasons on the Southern Bug
The river runs highest in spring, fed by melting snow and rain. That is when the Pechera rapids are loud and full, and when rafting trips usually run.
By late summer the water drops, the stones of the rapids stand out of the river and rafting becomes harder or impossible — ask the organisers in advance.
Autumn is when the Pechera park looks its best: the old trees above the canyon turn colour and there are fewer visitors. In winter the paths above the river and the descents to the cliffs can be slippery, so sturdy footwear and care are needed.
