    Landscape Reserve "Prybuzkyi"

This local landscape reserve protects the unique scenery of the Southern Bug valley. Here you can see granite outcrops of the Precambrian shield, cascades of rapids and rich plant life.

On the territory of the reserve grow rare plant species typical of the Podillia region: feather grass (Stipa), pasqueflower, netted crocus and other species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

    Ecological Challenges

Unfortunately, every year there is less and less water on the rapids. The reason is numerous illegal diversions from the main riverbed upstream, which pose a serious threat to the reserve's ecosystem.

There is hope that the authorities will pay attention to this problem, illegal diversions will be eliminated, and the Southern Bug will once again become full-flowing, returning to the rapids their original beauty and power.

    • •Status: local landscape reserve
    • •Precambrian granite outcrops
    • •Rare species from the Red Book of Ukraine
    • •Cascades of natural rapids

    Pechera Regional Rehabilitation Hospital

The unique microclimate of the Southern Bug valley in Pechera attracted the attention of climatologists in the 19th century as an ideal place for treating tuberculosis. In 1952 a Republican bone-and-tuberculosis sanatorium "Pechera" was opened on the former Potocki estate.

On 24 October 1989 the sanatorium was reorganized into the Pechera Regional Rehabilitation Hospital — one of the first rehabilitation institutions in the region. Since 2019 it has been operating as a municipal non-profit enterprise of the Vinnytsia Regional Council.

The hospital is located on 19 hectares of a picturesque park, a protected landscape monument, with access down to the rocky banks of the Southern Bug. Every year more than 1,500 patients undergo rehabilitation here.
