About this project

I grew up in Pechera and only later learned how much history is hidden behind its rocks, park and hospital buildings. This website is my attempt to collect fragments of that past — from family stories and archival documents to survivors' testimonies — so that descendants, researchers and anyone who finds this place on the map can see more than just a dot on a river.
